The fact that the latching surfaces rise outwards means in particular that these rise from a center of the base body measured along the ring center axis, in each case in the direction of the sides of the base body. According to a further development of the invention, it is provided that the side parts each have a plurality of locking tongues falling towards the central ring axis. The locking tongues are arranged circumferentially on the respective side part, in particular at equal angular distances from one another. Preferably, however, the latching tongues are recessed in the area of the setting, in other words in an area in which the setting is arranged when the ring-shaped piece of jewelry is mounted. This enables a simple and stable arrangement of the socket also in the area of the side parts.
According to a development of the invention, it is provided that the frame is designed as a solitary frame. The setting is therefore particularly designed to receive and hold a gemstone designed as a solitaire, in particular a diamond, preferably a brilliant.
Alternatively or additionally, the decorative part has a further holder or a plurality of further holders, which is / are set up to accommodate gemstones.
